Term 3 Classes!

We're back and kicking of term 3 classes on August 1st. This term we are offering Burlesque Beginners on Tuesday nights and Act Development on Monday nights. Both courses will have performance opportunities at the 2020 Graduation Showcase on October the 30th.

Burlesque Beginners Course

Cost: $200

Time: 10 week course -

commencing August 25th 6pm - 8:30pm

Where: O'Donnell Youth Centre, Limestone Avenue, Braddon

What:

Come and learn the basics of classic and neo burlesque dance with the Sass and Tease Collective. Over 10 weeks you will learn four routines that will put sass in your step and a sparkle in your eye.

This course is designed as a fun introduction to old and new burlesque with routines designed to teach you how to shimmy and sway like the greats of burlesque and also how to kick the schtick like a neo-burlesque provocateur.

Perfect if you’re just looking for a fun or if you’re thinking you’d like to hit that stage!

Act Development Course

Cost: $240

Time: 10 week course -

commencing August 24th 2016 6pm - 8:30pm

Where: O'Donnell Youth Centre, Limestone Avenue, Braddon

What:

Designed for aspiring performers this extension series of workshops hosted by different members of the Collective will cover the basics of act development, characterisation and stagecraft. It will also cover some aspects of the performing arts industry and the business of burlesque. During the extension course students will work closely with their chosen tutor to develop an original solo act for performance at a graduating showcase. They will also graduate with a basic press kit including studio and performing images, and a performer biography.
