Here at Sass and Tease like everyone we have been following the novel-coronavirus (COVID-19) situation carefully.
To protect our community we have already made the decision to suspend our shows for the foreseeable future and with the increasing announcements of the suspension of non-essential services around Australia we have taken the difficult decision to suspend our classes as well.
We will be contacting everyone enrolled in our current term to discuss possibilities going forward and of course we will continue to advise of any changes via our website, and on our social media channels.
Some of you have no doubt seen this image circulating on socials; this is a ‘ghost light’. A light which is left on a stand onstage when a theatre is dark or unattended. Theatres are designed to be pitch dark when the lights are out, so the ghost light means there’s a low level of safe light if anyone arrives in the dark. It also symbolizes that the theatre is not abandoned, and performances will return.
At this dark moment in the live performing arts, it symbolizes hope that life will return to our stages...
In the meantime stay sparkly and stay kind.
Love and Glitter,
The Collective x
